Another Feather in the Hat

Bhevin Sharma a KG class student of OPG World School won another skating competition that was held at Rohini Decathlon play ground.  He bagged the first position in te competition. Bhevin has secured multiple victories and gold medals in a series of skating competitions being held from time to time. Congratulations!

    Investiture Ceremony 2024


    OPG World School, Dwarka organized its Annual Investiture Ceremony on 16 May 2024; a grand event, showcasing leadership qualities of the newly appointed student council members. Dhanya Sangwan and Aditya Hooda were bestowed with the prestigious positions of school Head Girl and Boy respectively.  All the other council members were then respectively invested with their responsibilities. Principal, Mrs. Namrata Datta, delivered an inspiring speech and later passed on wisdom and good qualities metaphorized by the lit flame of the candle. Each council member promised to enrich themselves with the nine virtues of leadership. The event concluded with an anticipation to make the academic year a successful and memorable one.

      Budding Botanist Project

      14 May 2024, the ‘Budding Botanist Project’ was launched with full gusto. Led by Sarah Merchant and Bhavika of class X C, the primary aim of the initiative was to spread awareness about the diverse plant species that co-exist in the school campus; christening them with their scientific names and discussing about the conditions necessary for their growth. The project aims to label all plants with informative placards. This hands-on experience will enrich students' botanical knowledge and foster a deeper appreciation for our green surroundings.

        Grade III Students Shine in Inter-Class Spell Bee

        On 15th May 2024, Grade III students showcased their spelling prowess in an exhilarating Inter-Class Spell Bee competition. Eager participants demonstrated impressive vocabulary skills and spelling accuracy. The competition was fierce, with each class displaying remarkable knowledge and enthusiasm for language. After rounds of challenging words and intense concentration, Class III D emerged victorious, celebrating their triumph in mastering the art of spelling. The event highlighted the students' dedication and linguistic talent, fostering a love for language and learning.

          Gliding to Victory with Multiple Medals

          Celebrations are in order as Reyan Bag from Class 2D showcased exceptional skating skills, earning a silver medal at the Inter School Open Skating Tournament in Sector 10, Rohini, and a bronze at the Open Inter School Roller Skating Championship in Kamal Public School, Vikas Puri. Both accolades were achieved on May 12, 2024, in the under-7 category.

            Yellow House Triumphs in IHE Sudoku Competition

            The IHE Sudoku Competition, featuring 24 participants from various houses, witnessed a display of talent and skill on May 13, 2024. In the first round, all contestants showcased their Sudoku-solving abilities, with Yellow House emerging as the victor. Subsequently, Round 2 saw intense individual battles, culminating in three exceptional participants claiming the top spots in the competition. This event not only highlighted the dedication and prowess of the competitors but also underscored the importance of strategic thinking and problem-solving within the IHE community.

              OPG Triumphs at PRU MUN Conference

              OPG students shone at Prudence School's PRU MUN, winning the school trophy. Kayesha Bhan served as Deputy Director. Tejas Garg was named Best Photographer (IP), while Rittam Gupta and Samarth earned Special Mentions in UNHRC-Brazil and UNSC-Azerbaijan. Devansh secured an Honourable Mention in UNSC-Japan, with Hritvi Rajpal and Tanya Tonk also making notable contributions in AIPPM.

                Annual Dance Extravaganza

                10th MAY 2024, OPG World School concluded it’s much awaited inter house dance. It was a showcase of rhythm,
                melody and expressions well woven in immaculate dance steps. It was a nostalgic moment that offered glimpses into the past while rediscovering the grandeur of old songs. The
                audience could connect with the depth of various human experiences across
                generations on songs like Billi Jean, Rasputin, Gotta Go Home and Black and White. Red house was declared winner amidst thunderous clapping.

                  Diagnostic IPMAT at PRATHAM

                  The Diagnostic IPMAT (Integrated Program in Management Aptitude Test) serves as a significant entrance examination conducted by various institutes, primarily the IIMs, for admission to their Five-Year management programs. This comprehensive program offers a compelling proposition to ambitious and capable individuals seeking management and business leadership roles, combining academic excellence, career prospects, hands-on learning, networking opportunities, and personal growth. On May 14, 2024, PRATHAM School organized a diagnostic IPMAT in collaboration with PRATHAM TestPrep. Through this initiative, students in grades XI and XII from Commerce and Humanities gained exposure to a simulated testing environment. They encountered questions similar to those found in the actual IPMAT, allowing them to assess their interest and ability to tackle the types of challenges encountered in the real examination.

                    IHE Music 2024

                    On a vibrant May 9, OPG World School’s auditorium resonated with the timeless melodies of “Jambalaya,” “Ma Baker,” “Top of the World,” and “Brown Girl in the Ring.” Esteemed alumni Anubha and Jitya from Unikriti, serving as judges, and parents witnessed the students’ spirited renditions. The event, live-streamed on the school’s YouTube channel, saw Red House triumph with their group performance. Saanvi Prakash of VIII B, with her solo act, touched everyone’s hearts, embodying the sentiment, “Music is the literature of the heart.” The event also showcased solo talents with songs from Miley Cyrus, Adele, and John Legend.

                        Nurturing Empathy and Intellectual Curiosity.

                        On April 30, 2024, 61 students from OPG World School visited Navjyoti Foundation, delving into rural women's skill development through collaborative activities and gender-related discussions, fostering empathy and social responsibility. Special thanks to Ms. Ujala Bedi and Ms. Chandni Bedi for their warm welcome. This experiential learning reaffirms our commitment to holistic student development and broadening perspectives.

                          Creativity Meets the Digital World

                          6th May 2024, an IHE Display Board Decoration Activity was organised by the IT Department on the theme ‘Digital Citizenship'. Vivid illustrations and messages adorned the boards that highlighted prevention from cyberbullying and ways of privacy protection. Innovative techniques for interactive learning emphasising importance of responsible online behaviour and digital literacy were used by the students. The event successfully enhanced understanding of modern digital landscapes. All teams showcased their best research and presentation skills however Red house emerged victorious! Congratulations!

                            Pearl Academy's Annual Portfolio Display, themed "Tech Nomads," showcased Grade XII Humanities students' innovative creations on May 9th, 2024. Featuring plant-based leather goods and hand-knotted upholstery, the event emphasized sustainability. Designers reimagined fashion with upcycled pieces and revamped denim, reflecting a commitment to eco-conscious practices. From fashion merchandising to photography, the exhibits offered a glimpse into various design facets. The Fashion society's runway presentation captivated audiences, leaving a memorable impression of creativity and style.                               OPG World School Students Shine in 'Run for Sun Marathon' on International Sun Day

                              Students from OPG World School Dwarka joined the 'Run for Sun Marathon' on International Sun Day, May 3rd, organized by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy. Starting from Jawaharlal Nehru stadium, the 3-5km route aimed to raise awareness about solar energy benefits, attracting nearly 500 students from Delhi schools. Rudr Sharma, Tejas Garg, and Anmol Bhardwaj from class XI secured first, second, and third positions respectively, showcasing exceptional talent and enthusiasm among participants.

                                Triumph in Delhi Art Battle

                                In a stunning display of talent, Ananyaa from class VIII B from OPG WORLD SCHOOL Dwarka won the Consolation prize at Delhi’s Art Battle. Competing in the Middle category, she stood out among 1300 peers with a captivating “Family Portrait” theme. The event, held at Kiran Nadar Museum of Art, highlighted the city’s young artistic potential.

                                  Yajas Gupta, a Class V-E student, garners Honorable Mention in the prestigious RobinAge Bright Sparks Awards 2023. Launched in 2023 by RobinAge, a renowned newspaper and website for kids aged 4 to 15, the awards celebrate outstanding achievements in performing arts, creative writing, environmental and social work, and sports. Founded in 2008, RobinAge commemorated its 15-year journey with this initiative, highlighting the remarkable accomplishments of young talents across diverse fields.

                                      Double Victory

                                      In a remarkable feat, Aaruhi of Class 5A emerged victorious in two prestigious yoga championships. At the “APRAJITA NARI” Women Yogasana Championship on April 27th, she secured 9th place and a bronze medal among 150 participants aged 8-14. Earlier, on March 17th, she outshone competitors at the 2nd Delhi State Yoga Sports Championship, clinching the 1st position and a gold medal in the 5-10 age group. Her exemplary skill in traditional yogasana has brought pride to her institution and serves as an inspiration to many.

                                        Students' Community Outreach Initiative

                                        20 April 2024, students of classes XI-XII participated in an NGO outreach program. They visited Children's Home - Don Bosco Ashalayam, Empowering Humanity and Social Vision; engaging with underprivileged children. Additionally, two groups successfully sprinkled showers of happiness at Old Age Homes, fostering connections with the elderly. These visits epitomized the school's commitment to community service and instilled empathy and compassion among the students.
