    LitOdyssey’24 - Annual Literary Meet

    OPG World School recently hosted its annual literary extravaganza, LitOdyssey where students from diverse educational institutions celebrated their mutual ardor for Hindi and English literature. A series of captivating events, including Dastangoi, Vaad Vivaad, and Samiksha unfolded.       French Culinary Competition: A Gastronomic Celebration at OPG World School

      On July 16, 2024, OPG World School celebrated Bastille Day with an Inter-House French cuisine competition for Class IX and X students. The event showcased their impressive culinary skills, creativity, and passion for French gastronomy, with each house presenting unique and delicious dishes. The celebration was a memorable and delectable experience for all, highlighting the students' enthusiasm for French culture. The competition demonstrated the students' talents and fostered a appreciation for culinary arts, making it a successful and enjoyable event.

        Mandela Katha Mala

        On Thursday, 18th July 2024,OPG World School students of classes XI and XII attended Mandela Katha Mala which was conducted at the India International centre.The event was held in commemoration of Nelson Mandela's 106th birthday. The entire event was organised by the United Nations Information Centre in collaboration with NGOs. The opening speech was given by Suhas Borker, a convener and a representative from the working group of Alternate Strategies. It was followed by the enthusiastic songs that expressed hope and values, imbibed in the independent South Africa. The students also got exposure to the interactive session held between H.E, the acting High Commissioner of South Africa Mr Cedrick C.Crowley and Mr Manabolo. It brought to the fore the anecdotes of some great events which had taken place in the history of South Africa. The programme was concluded by the final message that was given by the UN Secretary General Antonio Gutteres.Mr Antonio Guttered urged everyone to perform 67 minutes of social service on Nelson Mandela International Day. It was a great learning experience for all the students who got a deep insight into the life of Nelson Mandela and history of South Africa.

          The visit by grade XII Psychology students to UDAI, a vocational center for special children and young adults, emphasized the transformative power of diversity. Through interactions with the participants and firsthand exposure to tailored programs—such as art, music therapy, and vocational training—the students gained insights into the significance of inclusivity. This experience deepened their appreciation for the resilience and potential of individuals with special needs, reinforcing the role of empathy and support in shaping a more compassionate society.

            Bhevin clinched another Gold Medal to his collection by triumphing at the skating championship organized by Team Speed Hawk in Janakpuri and dazzled at the Summer Skating Talent Hunt on June 15, 2024, at Happy Model School, Janakpuri, leaving the audience in awe of his talent and determination.

              Budding Achievers!

              Divyam Gupta, a student in class 8A, achieved remarkable success by securing the runner-up position in the prestigious U-18 division of the Universal Tennis Rating (UTR) Championship. The event, held from July 13 to 14, 2024, showcased the talents of young tennis enthusiasts from across the region. Divyam’s exceptional performance and dedication on the court earned him this notable accolade, highlighting his potential in the sport.                 Our students earned positions in the inter school event ‘Synergia’ held at Vandana International School today.
                Divyam Gupta and Mamaksh Vikas Singh secured the second place in the event Documentary on Press Pulse while Kayeshaa Bhaan outshined with her debating skills and was given the Special Mention.
