Story Telling Workshop

A workshop for story-telling was organized for classes II-V on 26th July, 2023. The session was indeed valuable and distinct. Ms Vandana Tondon, a resource person from NIE Times of India,conducted the session. The resource person narrated the story 'The king with the Big Ears' and left the children spellbound. The appropriate use of voice modulation and body language infused passion, enhanced imagination and expression and introduced children to new horizons of storytelling. It was an interactive session where children were taught the right way of telling the stories. Overall this session helped the young learners for creative thinking.

    OPG teams emerge victorious in the Interschool competition 'SYNERGIA'

    In an exhilarating showcase of talent, teamwork, and unwavering determination, the OPG World School teams emerged victorious in the Interschool competition 'SYNERGIA,' organized by Vandana International School, Dwarka on July 28,2023. Anika Gupta (III A), Kiara Gupta (III B),Aman Vishal (III C), Saksham Chabra (III E), Rushika Bhatia (III E) and Mehar Bhushan (III E) received special commendation for their performance in Folkloric. Harshil Khanna (IV A) earned a special commendation in the event- Mosaic Marvels. In the event- Heritage Expo, Dhwani Shekhar (V E) and Yuvraj Singh Phogat (V-B) secured the third position. Divyansh Kaushal (XII Sci) and Abeer Kushwah (XI com) participated in the ‘Lights, Camera, Justice’ event and secured the Second position. Aarya Sharma (VIII B), Surishi Mishra (IX D) and Muktanshika Singh (X D) participated in the event 'CAVERNA' and secured an impressive Third position. Congratulations to all the students for their outstanding performance!

      Bastille’s Day Celebration

      Bastille Day was celebrated at OPG World School with full zest and zeal from 13th July to 20th July. The celebration comprised of various activities such as: virtual Tour of France, making of the French national flag, collage-making activity on "Culture and Civilization of France," role play on the "French Revolution," reciting poetry in the French language, and an Inter-House French Cuisine Competition.

        NGO Visits - 22 July 2023

        As part of the Citizenship Program at OPG WORLD SCHOOL, students of class X,XI and XII visited various NGOs on 22 July 2023.Our students interacted enthusiastically with the children and senior citizens while conducting activities like playing basketball, carrom etc.

          Prithvi Verma : Winner of Inter School Competition Laissez Faire

          Prithvi Verma of class XI Humanities participated in the Laissez Faire, an inter school event conducted by the Vasant Valley school, Vasant Kunj. He was declared the winner of the event "Jiyo to sar Utha ke Jiyo" among 25 participating schools. He was awarded with a certificate and a trophy. His powerful speech as a farmer about losing his land during the British era was electrifying. Congratulations!

              Student Led Cafeteria

              STUDENT LED CAFETERIA
              Year 2023 has been declared as the International Year of Millets with the aim to create awareness, increase production & consumption of millets. Taking this forward, the students of Home Science department on 7th of July took over the charge of canteen and sold off a scrumptious Italian millet meal made by them in the Home Science Lab. The meal consisted of ragi sauce Pasta, garlic bread and ragi tea cake sold as a combo for a price of Rs 50. 
              The team worked enthusiastically with the objective of providing appetizing, nutritious and quality lunch to the students in a socially, ecologically, and financially responsible manner. Apart from the overall learning this activity offers, Student led cafeteria challenges students to apply principles of sustainability, offers creativity and imparts discipline.
