OPG is a part of the Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell and has set up its own Innovation Council, inclusive of teachers, students, and external representatives.

The Programme aims to foster a culture of innovation, ideation, creativity, design thinking, and entrepreneurship in schools. The students of Innovation cell have rigorously worked to create recycled products, keeping the aim of “plastic free campus in mind”.

Some of the products include regenerated handmade chalks, Weight Distributing belt, regenerated handmade Rangoli colors, upcycled straws, recycled plastic - Multifunctional Table, Eco bricks and bio-plastic.

We have associated with the Delhi based ‘Future Climate-Leaders Program’ to ensure students are sensitized towards the immediate need for climate action by equipping them with the tools for measurable carbon reduction and inspiring them to find local solutions to the global problem of climate change.

All students in classes VIII and upwards were a part of the VONG Movement, thus working towards advancing women’s human rights, healthcare, rehabilitation, and awareness; building feminist leadership; expanding reproductive freedoms; and education programmes.

The Sanitary Napkin Project by the students of class X was launched to recognize a woman’s basic right to hygiene at affordable costs, and an effort is being made to manufacture sanitary napkins with easily available material at a minimal price.
